The “Cidade de Almada” International Music Competition aims to become a point of reference nationwide and to be an incentive and stimulus to all those who study and work in this field of knowledge, aspiring to be more than a mere competition by holding concerts and debates, thus opening its doors to the local community and engage more with it.
By adopting this approach, the “Cidade de Almada” International Music Competition will cater for the lack of youth music competitions of this type in the region, therefore continuing its historic role in promoting Musical Culture through concerts and music classes.
