Programme to be presented at the preliminary and final stages

 Level 1 (up to 10 years)

·         Three works by, at least, two different composers.

       Level 2 (up to 12 years)

 Preliminary Stage

·         A free choice study by P. Bastos – “Para os Pequenos Guitarristas”;

·         A study or a piece.

        Final Stage

·         Three studies or pieces.

       Level 3 (up to 14 years)

       Preliminary Stage

·         Compulsory work: J. Peixoto – “Choveu e nem uma Brisa”, from “Amarelos e outros Tons”;

·         A free choice study by M. Carcassi – “25 studies”, op. 60;

·         A free choice work.

Final Stage

·         Free choice repertoire, no more than 10 minutes long.

          Level 4 (up to 16 years)

          Preliminary Stage

·         Compulsory work: P. Amorim – “Evo-Canción” from “Três Insignificâncias”;

·         A free choice study by L. Brouwer – “Simple Studies”, Book 3 or 4;

·         A free choice work.

         Final Stage

         Free choice repertoire, no more than 15 minutes long.

     

         Level V (up to 18 years)

         Preliminary Stage

·         Compulsory work: F. Lopes-Graça – “Vilanela”, from « Partita « 

·         A free choice study by H. Villa-Lobos – “Doze Estudos”;

·         A free choice work.

         Final Stage

·         Free choice repertoire, no more than 20 minutes long.

Only the participants selected at the preliminary stages will perform at the final stages.

Works previously performed at the Preliminary Stages cannot be played at the Final Stages.
